‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 7 preview: Adam Nimoy to guest star
While Leonard Nimoy may have passed away earlier this year, the writers of “The Big Bang Theory” are still making sure that he is not forgotten. The show is returning to its Thursday-night timeslot on November 5, and we are going to get a chance to see an appearance from none other than Leonard’s son Adam.
For those who did not know, in real life Adam is working on a documentary entitled “For the Love of Spock,” which is taking a look at Leonard’s life through the lens of many of his longtime colleagues, fans, and so much more. We’re not sure if this upcoming episode is going to actually name-drop the film itself, but the synopsis below makes it clear that Sheldon will be speaking on a documentary about his longtime hero:
“While being interviewed for a documentary about Spock from “Star Trek,” Sheldon struggles to suppress his emotions about his recent break-up with Amy. Also, Wolowitz and Bernadette butt heads over remodeling his childhood home.”
Spock and Nimoy had an enormous role on the series over the years. Leonard voiced a Spock action-figure for an episode, and also we had a chance to see Leonard’s “DNA” become a plot point for what remains our favorite moment in the show’s history during a Christmas episode. It’s great that the show finding a way to further honor him, while also tying it into what is presently going on in the story. We’ll likely have more on this episode over the weekend, so be on the lookout!
