‘Empire’ season 2 spoilers: Will death come knocking soon?

Empire -When you look at the behavior of some of the main characters on “Empire,” we feel like it is certainly fair to wonder whether or not some of these characters have a death wish. After you read this story, it may appear more and more like this unfortunate wish is coming true.

According to a new report coming in right now from TVLine, the eleventh episode of this season is entitled “Death Will Have His Day,” and the show is casting someone to play a grief counselor by the name of Devin. When you combine these two separate factors, it is pretty easy to come to the conclusion that someone is going to be getting whacked by time this episode airs.

So who is in danger? How about everyone? We feel like the move that the show could make if they really want to upset the balance would be to kill off one of Lucious and Cookie’s sons, but who would you go after? Andre’s about to be a young father, Jamal is probably the show’s most interesting character, and Hakeem just got captured and his death may be a little too obvious. It’s challenging to think of the right answer, and we’re sure that the writers would feel the same way if they are thinking about this story.

More than anything else, let’s just hope that no matter what happens, it comes about in a shocking / interesting way that gets people talking. For a show like “Empire” that has already achieved uber-hit status, there are two separate challenges coming up:

1. Figuring out a way to ensure that things stay fresh, and you don’t do the same story over and over again.

2. Giving people new things to talk about, ensuring that they not only watch the show, but do so live so that people aren’t ruining it for them before they have a chance to check it out.
