‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Hunted’ synopsis offers details on Matt Ryan’s arrival

If there is a more-anticipated guest spot coming that Matt Ryan on “Arrow,” we would like to know what it is. John Constantine is for one a beloved member of the DC Universe, and while he no longer has an NBC show, this appearance over on The CW has been a nice bit of closure for many fans who loved that character so.

“Hunted” is the title for this crossover-like-no-other episode, and it will be airing on Wednesday, November 4. The synopsis below offers up at least a few details to you in terms of what you can expect:

“When things take a turn for the worse with Sara (guest star Caity Lotz), Oliver (Stephen Amell) calls in a favor from an old friend who deals in the mystical, John Constantine (guest star Matt Ryan).”

The big takeaway here is clearly that Oliver has some sort of past connection to John that has not been explored on the show. Did they party down on the island or something? This is something that we will require some further information on, since John’s not the sort of guy that a wide array of people have in speed dial. He’s someone who is a little bit of a journeyman, and he has a lot of problems of his own to deal with. As some out there know, this is meant mostly to be a one-off appearance from the character. Ryan has an upcoming stage gig coming up, and DC Comics may want to figure out something else to do with the character moving forward.
