‘Bones’ season 11 spoilers: First look at ‘Sleepy Hollow’ crossover with Tom Mison!

The idea of a “Bones” / “Sleepy Hollow” crossover is something so random that maybe it just might work. At least. this is our feeling at the moment, and after looking at the first photo from the event below, we’re more inclined to think this will completely rock and surprise us at the same time. There is a lot of fun to be had with a crossover like this.

This photo highlights a conversation between Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) at the Jeffersonian, where they will tackle a case that may need some of their combined knowledge. This image was first posted by TVLine, who also included the following comment from Mison about how there may be more in common between his character and Brennan than you would think:

“It actually worked really rather nicely, ’cause they’re quite similar, actually. I hadn’t really realized it until I started working with Emily, that Brennan and Ichabod are very similar … Which is probably why they’re destined not to get along.”

We’re not sure that the crossover will do much to help the ratings for either show (which are rather low), but for the most part we’re not getting too much in our head over that. We just like the idea that the shows are trying something like this, and allowing themselves to have a little bit of fun. Sometimes, risks are worth it just to shake up the mold, and do something that has never been done before. Our advice is just that you don’t take this too seriously, since nobody wants to think that Brennan and Moloch exist in the same universe (or at least did).
