‘Fargo’ season 2 spoilers: Kirsten Dunst teases her role of Peggy
Come Monday night the season 2 premiere of “Fargo” is airing on FX, and there are going to be more characters throughout the episodes ahead than you really know what to do with. The show is going to be adding so many more important names to their roster, whether it be Ted Danson, Patrick Wilson, Nick Offerman, or others.
To us, the one we’re probably the most intrigued about going into this is Kirsten Dunst, who is playing the part of hairdresser Peggy. This marks her first series-regular gig, and is a chance for her to do something that is in so many ways different than anything that she’s done before. In speaking on this subject further in an interview with the Telegraph, she described her character with a little bit of the following:
“She does a lot of weird things … She’s got her own intentions, and she won’t let anyone stop her, and it starts to get a little ugly. There’s part of her that thinks, at least in the beginning, ‘Maybe I could just be a homemaker.’ But then there’s this other part of her that’s like, ‘No, there’s more for me out there.’”
Early buzz about the second season is strong, and hopefully that helps to calm the nerves of some people who are nervous that this show could end up becoming almost the second coming of “True Detective” season 2. It helps that this is many ways a prequel both to season 1 and the movie, so being tied to everything helps to keep it on-course.
