‘Empire’ season 2, episode 4 preview: ‘Poor Yorick’ features Hakeem, Jamal coming together … musically
Is the Lyon family about to come back together on “Empire” next week? We’re certainly not going to go that far. What really seems to be taking place on “Poor Yorick” next week is that you’re getting a chance to see the crew work together musically, mostly because both Hakeem and Jamal realize that there is money to be made if they do work together rather than continue to constantly feud. Hey, we’ve continued to see that in this world, money does matter just as much as anything else.
If you haven’t seen the synopsis below, it will make it clear to you that while the collaboration is going on between Hakeem and Jamal, Lucious iis going to be off trying to ensure that he can keep himself out of prison for as long as possible (if not forever):
“The Lyons are still split into warring factions, but they all decide to shoot a music video that will capitalize on Hakeem and Jamal’s duet from Hakeem’s leaked album, a collaboration that will benefit both companies. Meanwhile, Lucious trades his real handcuffs for virtual ones. However, knowing he can’t fully control his company with a federal murder case hanging over his head, he sets out to find Vernon and make him permanently disappear.”
Who wants to bet that Lucious will figure out a way to make this happen? The then you gotta remember here is that if the guy stays behind bars, suddenly, the rest of the season is not anywhere near as interesting. We imagine that the folks behind the scenes are operating from an entertainment-first standpoint amove anything else.
