‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: The team becomes heroes in costume!

There are few stories that we are as particularly excited for with “Scorpion” as “Super Fun Guys,” which is the installment airing on Monday, October 19. This episode is ironically coming just one week before the start of “Supergirl,” and will feature many members of the team suiting up within the world of Sylvester’s favorite comic book.

The first photo of this episode can be seen above, and it’s all sorts of amazing. Basically, everyone is getting a fair share of spandex / ridiculous costumes to wear for an undercover mission. This has to be in part a joy for Sylvester, but there’s also a reason for it and a serious mission to execute. The synopsis below offers up a few more details:

“Team Scorpion goes undercover on the “Super Fun Guy” movie set in Kazakstan in order to disable a soviet era nuclear missile being sold by terrorists.”

Sure, this is not the most revealing description in the world, but do you really need anything that is that in-depth given the circumstances? We feel like the image below really does a good job of providing everything that you could possibly want and then some from this story. It’s absurd, and that is precisely why we love it so. We would be thrilled to see “Scorpion” be willing to go this silly on a regular basis; so many other crime shows right now are mired in the mandate that they have to be “gritty” or somewhat true-to-life. There’s a whole in the market for a show like “Psych,” where you do blend the mystery and the character moments with a whole smorgasbord of laughter.
