‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5, episode 1 video: Who has huge plans for Zelena?

Just in case you were wondering just how Zelena was going to factor into the season 5 premiere of “Once Upon a Time,” we may have an answer for you below! What’s the twist? Let’s just say that the Wicked Witch is not going to be used in a way that you would originally imagine.

The sneak peek video is a conversation between Captain Hook and Henry, one where first and foremost the show takes care of a little bit of business: Answering why in the world Henry as the Author doesn’t just write a new ending for Emma to keep her from being possessed by the Dark One a.k.a. being the Dark Swan. Henry’s answer is simply that things do not always work out in this way.

Do we think that this plan for Hook is going to turn out anywhere near as well as he thinks that it will? Probably not, mostly because this is not the sort of show where teaming up with a villain ends well, even if the intentions are good. The reality here is that the only person who may be able to fully save Emma is Merlin, and most of our characters in Storybrooke are going to have to find a way to get over there to Camelot, and then ensure that something happens so that the famed wizard is tracked down.

In general, we anticipate that we will continue to see Hook come up with a wide array of plans throughout the season to help Emma. Meanwhile, we feel like for Henry, one of the big story threads will be what happens when he starts to develop feelings for someone. Can he stay focused on the mission?
