‘The Amazing Race Canada 3’ finale preview: Who will win, and who should?
Season 3 of “The Amazing Race Canada” has been dramatic, competitive, but above all entertaining. We’re not sure that we are entering the finale next week with the most likable crew that we possibly could have, but when it comes to making things interesting, it was probably right to see Simi & Ope leave when they did, given that their odds of winning were fairly low.
Then again, were they? The father / daughter team actually live not far from Vancouver, which is where we are going for the final leg. Sometimes, having that hometown advantage can help, but not necessarily if the leg is extremely physical. Much of it depends ultimately on whatever the tasks are.
We feel like at this point when it comes to having the most likable team win, our hearts are firmly with Brent & Sean. They’ve had a lot of growth over the season, and have transformed from these two at-times goofy guys who seemed almost also-rans in the competition to people we could see winning if they stay focused on the missions, and not so much the other teams. This could hurt both Gino & Jesse and Nick & Matt.
We feel like Gino & Jesse are still the frontrunners to win the season, which is why the show is put in a somewhat tricky spot of having winners this season that really did not come off particularly well in tonight’s episode as they stole multiple cabs belonging to other teams for the sake of getting ahead. Really, the wrestlers didn’t come off much better, even if they were only doing it because their cab had already been stolen.
