‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Liz’s time to decide

While the next few days in the “Big Brother 17” house could end up being incredibly boring, there is one reason to have a little bit of optimism for what could happen … and most of it is tied to Liz Nolan. She is firmly in control of what is going to happen this week, which is a very unusual situation for someone who is sitting on the block, soon to be with her sister Julia.

What we gathered from her conversation with Austin last night was ultimately rather simple: Julia is probably not going to be the one who dictates what happens. Liz feels like her sister has gotten the short end of the stick a lot in life; heck, even this season she had to pretend to be Liz for the first several weeks of the game. Keeping her around would increase the twins’ odds of winning $50,000 for one, and it would also be an emotional move to give something to Julia. This is the move that Vanessa is also pushing for, so it’ll probably happen and Liz will likely go this week.

This situation is very interesting from the Austin perspective, and mostly because it puts him squarely between a rock and a hard place. He knows that losing Liz is pretty bad for his game, given that Julia’s never completely trusted him; we know that she will probably gravitate closer to Vanessa and give her more control, and we’re not sure how aware of this Austin will be.

The big story going into the final five and ultimately the final four is if Austin is thought of a little more as a free agent. It feels like either John or Steve will be taken out next in the event that John doesn’t win Head of Household, but after that the final four could be a complete mess, and a heck of a lot of fun to watch.
