‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 1 video: Theo, Tabitha Galavan pay a visit to Arkham

Just in case you were wondering how long it was going to take Theo Galavan to show some of his true colors on “Gotham” season 2, the answer is “not long at all.”

As the latest sneak peek for the show’s upcoming September 21 premiere makes it clear, Theo is going to be on the hunt for some of the “best” in Arkham Asylum to be a part of what he believes to be some sort of gifted squad who could carry out some “special” duties for the city. It sounds almost like he is building his own version of the Suicide Squad, with the difference being that we don’t think he is trying to reform them in the slightest. He seems more interested in trying to empower them, especially Barbara Kean. Does this mean that Theo is a new love interest for her? We’re not going that far just yet, but this does suggest that the two are at least going to potential spend some time together.

This video also gives you a brief taste of Theo’s sister Tabitha, but she’s not one to share too much in the preview. Instead, she just looks imposing.

This does make a worthy introduction to both characters, who are set to at least be an enormous part of the story during the first part of season 2. This season has been subtitled “Rise of the Villains,” and we really have not seen better proof of this very thing than what is going on here. Also, it has us excited. The more the show becomes more like its own comic book (and not just a cheesy impersonation of ones that already exist), the better it will be.
