‘The Amazing Race Canada 3’ episode 10 preview: The return of the Double U-Turn
There are only three more legs remaining of “The Amazing Race Canada,” and based on the number of international trips that the show has made, we imagine that we’re probably going to spend the rest of the season in the home country.
That’s fine with us, given that we’re heading next to a different part of British Columbia than we’ve seen before, one where the remaining teams are going to have the tough challenge taking on some more outdoor activities. Given that it looks like we’re getting a roadblock themed around the water, let’s hope that it is not something Ope doesn’t have to deal with. So far, his inability to swim has been his team’s biggest liability.
Perhaps more interesting at this point, though, than any individual challenge is the return of the Double U-Turn. This means that, in theory, a weaker team like Simi & Ope could have some wiggle room to advance, while a dominant team could be sent home. From a drama perspective, we love it. When it comes to fairness, that’s debatable. Everyone will probably be gunning for Gino & Jesse, who in turn will probably gun for Nick & Matt. If the wrestlers are ahead of at least one other team, they really have to U-Turn them to have a chance at staying alive themselves. Otherwise, there is really not any hope for them unless someone else makes a mistake.
Ultimately, don’t be shocked if a strong team goes home before the final four, and the U-Turn may be enough to help Brent & Sean stay alive despite having to perform a Speed Bump.
