‘MasterChef’ season 6, episode 17 preview: Dreaming of Gordon Ramsay?

There are only five contestants left on “MasterChef” season 6, and we’re wondering if this may be the most likable group that we’ve had left at this point in the season. We feel like all of the remaining home cooks are easy to root for in one way or another. Even aggressive guys like Derrick still have the backstory and the drive that make you want to root for them. (Plus, there’s less talk about drumming and stuff in the confessionals.)

After watching the sneak peek below for Wednesday night’s new episode, it’s even easier to root for Claudia. Why is that? Well, it all ties into her claiming that she had a dream with Gordon Ramsay in it. He was apparently wearing jeans, and she’s got a little crush on him. Aw, can you imagine him getting rid of her now? Well, it’ll happen if she struggles, but she’s been pretty consistent all season long. We don’t think she is the next person to go, but the challenge here is that we could say the same thing about any of the remaining cooks at this point.

Undoubtedly, our favorite part of the sneak peek is at the very end, where Stephen chimes in that he also likes Gordon in jeans. Stephen’s one of the few people we’ve ever seen on this show who enjoys trolling the judges, and can do so in a way that doesn’t come across badly.
