‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: A different take with Damien Darhk

Damien Darhk is the Big Bad for “Arrow” season 4, and just in case you didn’t get this sense already, you really should be aware that this is a guy who is going to have a different take on things than some other people out there. He’s not going to burst into a building to surprise someone, for example, and he’s not going to have a mysterious hideout in the middle of nowhere. He will be wherever he wants to be, and he’s not afraid to be in public.

In giving a specific example to TVLine, executive producer Marc Guggenheim cites the following: “He shows up at a very public meeting that Lance is present at … If Darhk wants to show up somewhere, he’s certainly going to!”

What we personally like about Darhk as a villain right now is that he doesn’t seem to have any singular agenda towards Oliver Queen, but it is still very clear that he is bad news and needs to be taken out. He’s more of a cerebral villain potentially, as well. We don’t get the sense that he will fight a la Deathstroke or Ra’s al Ghul, but he has a whole organization around him in HIVE that is willing to fight for him.

Also, we cannot forget the Diggle factor here! This may be one of the first villains over the course of the show’s run that John is particularly motivated against … or at least the first since Deathshot entered the fray only to be killed off later.
