‘Ray Donovan’ season 3, episode 9 preview: Is Mickey going to ruin Bunchy’s wedding?

As the third season of “Ray Donovan” starts to wind down, there is only a few things that you can expect to see more than ever: Drama, craziness, and so much drama on another level.

Next week, we’re going to have an occasion in Bunchy’s wedding that at least on the surface would feel like a happy one. The problem? Mickey is not there, but there’s a perfectly good reason for that: His life could be in jeopardy, and it is all do to an “attempt to draw him out of hiding” (per the official synopsis). His recent work with the police, if you can call it that, will also be a factor in everything else that goes down.

Now, if we were Bunchy, what would we do in this situation? Let’s just say that this is not an easy situation to wrap our head around right now, since you have some sort of polar opposites here in happiness and despair. Then again, this is the Donovan family, and at a certain point you have to assume that they are better prepared than most to handle sudden changes and terrible circumstances that come out of nowhere.

By the end of the finale in several weeks, we do expect at least something to happen that fundamentally changes the way these characters see the world. As to what this particular circumstance is, that’s what we are going to have to wait to discover.
