‘Bachelor in Paradise 2’ review: Is the Joe Bailey – Samantha Steffen saga over?

BP -For those of you who were wondering when you were finally going to get some peace from all of the nonsense with Joe Bailey and Samantha Steffen on “Bachelor in Paradise,” tonight was your night! The long national nightmare of watching this relationship is over.

Ultimately, we’re not going to even pick sides when it comes to which one of the two we feel is more likable than the other, mostly because the two of them both are pretty easy to detest at the end of the day. Joe did some really terrible stuff to Juelia, and while we understand that he was just doing what Samantha wanted him to, at some point you still gotta know right from wrong, right?

Meanwhile, Samantha’s actions were bad in her own right, mostly because she subtly manipulated so many of the guys and also strung Joe along / confused him. We think she probably came into this season thinking that this was her chance to be liked by America, and she has to be bummed out that this has not worked out even remotely like she has wanted.

As for the rest of the episode tonight, let’s just say that it was mostly a mess beyond the Chris Bukowski awkward comedy hour and a few of the dates. We’re not really a big fan of this point of the show, mostly because you’ve got so many people there, and not enough time left this season to form a meaningful relationship that matters. If you’re arriving now, you might as well just be hoping for a little screen time.
