‘Legends of Tomorrow’: Caity Lotz hypes up early scripts, has us even more excited
We have not spent too much time writing as of late about DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” but there has been a pretty simple reason for that: The show has not actually started to film its first season yet! Filming will be taking place very soon, though, and Caity Lotz (otherwise known as White Canary) is giving you some reasons to be excited.
Just in case you’re wondering why filming for this show is taking a little longer than its sister series “Arrow” and “The Flash,” the simple answer is that there’s no real reason to start it up too early! “Legends” is probably not going to air until January at the earliest, and most of the fall is going to be spent starting to plant some of these characters onto the new spin-off. For example, Lotz is going to appear as Sara Lance in the fifth episode of “Arrow” season 4 (read more about that here), and we have a pretty strong feeling we’ll be seeing Brandon Routh somewhere in there as Ray Palmer, as well. Ciara Renee, meanwhile, will be bringing Kendra Saunders over “The Flash,” and of course you will see more of Victor Garber as Martin Stein there, as well.
To us, most of our “Legends of Tomorrow” excitement is generated primarily from the great unknown of it all. For so many other superhero shows, there is a tremendous sort of certainty at least in that you know the main character, and that most of the action will revolve around them. Here, you’ve got such an ensemble and so much creative flexibility. Other than that one pretty-awesome trailer from earlier this year, we have no idea what this is going to look like.
Once filming is underway and there is more to share, you better believe we’ll have it for you here!
