‘The Amazing Race Canada 3’ episode 9 preview: Drama (and spicy food) in Dehli

While we said in our review for Wednesday night’s “Amazing Race Canada” episode that we’re not the biggest fan of legs in India at this point (the country’s been overly used across different editions of the franchise), we’re staying put going into next week’s final five episode. The only difference is that this time, we’re going off to Dehli.

The remaining teams seem to have a variety of different tasks that they are going to need to take on, from eating gross food to eating spicy food, with Brent & Sean seemingly objecting to at least one of them to some degree.

Then, there’s the whole wrestling task that is sure to draw conspiracy theories that someone wants to finally let Nick & Matt win a leg. Is there anything to that? Probably not. These legs are planned long before the show is cast, and frequent renovators Gino & Jesse have gotten many tasks that suited their skill set. It would actually be somewhat funny if the wrestlers struggled, similar to what happened to the hockey players doing a hockey challenge on this past season.

In this leg, the focus for almost every scene should be simple: Take out Gino & Jesse at all cost. Based on what we’ve seen from the brothers in Canada, they will smoke anyone there unless they make a mistake. You don’t want to rely on that, and they struggle more in other countries than they do back home. If you don’t find a way to take them out while overseas (they are going to be starting this leg off in last), you may never get another chance to do it.
