‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: Jared Padalecki teases possible God, Lucifer returns
The past season of “Supernatural” spent a great deal of its time putting Sam and Dean Winchester up against demons, but as is the case almost every year of the show’s existence, we are about to change course once again.
With the arrival of the Darkness on the CW series, we are back to dealing with things that first started to exist long before the days of the Bible. Does this mean that a potential appearance from God / Chuck, or even Lucifer, could be in the cards? They have to be considered, given that they are some of the few people who are out there with the knowledge of what these things are and how to stop them. These are possibilities that were even explored by Sam himself in Jared Padalecki, who passed along the following message recently to Entertainment Weekly:
“I think [the Darkness] certainly opens the door for Lucifer and/or God to pop up … We’re certainly going back to that and going a bit more biblical and having our take on the writings that didn’t make it into the Bible … Since we know God’s a scribe, we may have to invite him along for the ride.”
The show has not unveiled any big news on possible returns for early this season just yet, which leaves one or two options open as possibilities:
1. There are no returning cast members of prominence in the early going.
2. The producers are keeping something under wraps for as long as possible.
