‘After Paradise’ spoilers: Joe Bailey, Dan Cox, and new ‘Bachelor’ (a.k.a. Ben Higgins) to appear
Tonight’s new episode of “After Paradise” is different than almost any other, and there is of course one reason for that: We’re about to meet the new Bachelor for the first time!
While it has not been confirmed just yet that Ben Higgins is going to be the new star of the ABC franchise, we’re reading between the lines here, and almost every bit of evidence suggests that he is going to be the new leading man next season. Sure, we do think that Nick Viall has been pushed as a possible candidate, but he’s far too controversial at this point for what the network and the producers will want. If you look back at the past few years, you will know that what they really want someone in this role who is instantly likable, and then they will rely on the format and the women for the drama. Even when Juan Pablo Galavis was announced, he was extremely well-received. It was only during his season when this started to take a serious turn for the worse. At the same time though, Kaitlyn Bristowe was a pretty controversial Bachelorette and she was one of the most entertaining seasons we’ve watched – and the ratings were higher for her season then many of the past few – so would Nick really be that bad of a choice?
Also appearing tonight, you’re going to get some sort of extended interview with Joe Bailey, one of the biggest villains of the season. We feel like the show is starting to steer in the direction of Samantha Steffen as the real puppet-master, but we also do not sympathize that much for Joe given what he did to Juelia to stick around. He’s going to get roasted in full for it tonight.
We’re also set for an appearance by cast member Dan Cox and Michelle Collins of “The View,” but it’s hard to get too pumped up about either one of them since Dan was kinda boring.
