‘Masters of Sex’ season 3, episode 7 video: Watch Sarah Silverman in new sneak peek

Is there hope for Betty and Helen to have a child on “Masters of Sex” season 3? Sarah Silverman is returning for a guest spot in Sunday night’s new episode, and her character is going to be thinking about bringing a child into the world.

However, as you can see below, Helen has a lot of indecision on the subject of who the man is that will be the father. Specifically, she is worried about whether or not this is someone who really deserves having an offspring of them out in the world. It’s the whole nature versus nurture argument in a 1960s world. Helen is concerned that this father could be Lee Harvey Oswald or some serial killer, and Betty has to remind her that they will be the ones to shape the child, and not a father whose history could be checkered. There is no evidence that it is, for the record; Helen is just speculating based on the information that she has at the moment.

By the time we make it to the end of this episode, maybe we will figure things out here one way or another. The show does have to cover ground a little more quickly with Silverman than they do some other actors on the show, since she is only around for a limited amount of time. Her appearance is a window into Betty’s world, and she is really great in the role.
