‘Bachelor in Paradise 2’ review: JJ Lane, Joe Bailey go at it over Samantha Steffen
As it turns out, Samantha Steffen was at least complicit with Joe Bailey in the sense that the two had some sort of conversation before the show about their relationship, even if it never really evolved to anything more than that. Juelia Kinney was of course upset, but a good ways into this episode we started to wonder whether it would be better for all of the other contestants to just completely ignore the two and try to just have a good time. Let the bad edit go ahead and bury these two. Of course, JJ Lane still wins in regards to having one of the biggest confrontations of the entire episode, and for being incredibly entertaining at the same time.
As for Ashley, we understand her negative feelings towards Dan Cox, but did he really do anything that bad by going off to date Amber James? Isn’t this the purpose of the show to find someone who you are interested in? We think so. The less we talk about that scene with the birds, the better.
Ultimately, we do hope that this Joe storyline ends soon. It’s dominating almost the entire narrative, and it’s really putting a damper on what is supposedly a “romance” show. Grade: B-.
