‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6, episode 11 spoilers: Boss on show (and Charlotte’s) future
Is the plan still for season 7 to be the last season of “Pretty Little Liars” … or was this even the plan to begin with? We understand if this is something that a few people out there are potentially confused about at the moment, mostly because it’s understandable. This is not something that has ever been abundantly clear. We know that for now, the show is renewed until the end of season 7, and we have assumed that this could be a fitting end to what is already the biggest hit in ABC Family history.
Well, all we can tell you for now is that there is still some flexibility, depending on what the show’s ratings are and the wishes of the fans. This is what creator Marlene King had to say in a post-summer finale interview with TVLine:
“We have enough story to take us to the end of Season 7, and we’re going to let the fans tell us if they’re ready to say goodbye to this world and these characters.”
Let’s be clear here: In no way does “Pretty Little Liars” actually need an eighth season. If there is a great idea and there’s a demand to do it, then why not? Otherwise, we’d rather see it end at seven rather than have an inferior product come out for season 8.
As for the second half of season 6, King also said that we are going to see Charlotte a.k.a. CeCe Drake (Vanessa Ray) at some point in the future. We’re going to have an opportunity to see what has happened to her five years later, and it does seem as though she is going to be very much alive.
