‘Teen Wolf’ season 5, episode 7 review: What happened to Liam and Hayden?
Are Liam and Hayden gone? We imagine at this very second, we imagine that this is probably one of around a thousand or so questions that you have when it comes to Monday night’s new “Teen Wolf” episode entitled “Strange Frequencies.”
The end of this episode is probably going to be what many are talking about for some time, and if this was any other show, we imagine that there would probably not be nearly as much mystery surrounding what is happening to them. The thing here is that “Teen Wolf” actually has established a currency of doing terrible things, and then making you wonder the end result of said terrible thing.
At first, Hayden was meant to be Dread Doctor bait, and was thought of as a way to draw them out using their metaphorical wall of protection. That just did not happen. In between throat-stabbings and Kira being taken over at times, there were moments within here that were more than likely designed to make you wonder how much is real, and how much is manipulation. The strongest skill the Dread Doctors seem to possess is causing this level of extreme disbelief. Strangely, that seems to be something that Theo is also very good at around Stiles.
So by the end of this episode, we’re not really sure that Scott is that closer to figuring out how to solve this latest plague. He may have more information, but there’s a difference between knowing that and then applying it.
This episode was weird … and trippy … and did we say weird? We may have been more entertained than we’ve been in recent weeks watching the show, but we do wonder some times if this season remains too confusing at times. It has altered its DNA almost from being a light horror show to a supernatural thriller; we’re still on board, and hope you are, as well. Grade: B.

I think I will have to watch this season again once it’s complete. Hopefully with questions answered in the end, I will more fully understand what the hell is going on. Most confusing season ever. I loath watching just because I know it will jump around with fragmented scenes without any explanations. Maybe these confusing episodes were the point- to get people talking about it, but it really doesn’t work for me.
