‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: First look at Neal McDonough as Damien Darhk

Just in case you needed any further confirmation that Neil McDonough looks to be bringing a sense of evil elegance to “Arrow” as Damien Darhk, we’ve got some proof for you below. The posting that we are sharing here is coming from series star Paul Blackthorne (Quentin Lance) on Facebook, and it shows a fairly-clear image of at least the sort of style you can expect from this character. For the most part, Darhk is going to be a different sort of villain than the show has presented to us before. Superficially, he does not appear to be as interested in putting on a costume and running amok in Starling City. His plans are a little more complex, and he may be the closest thing that we’ve seen so far to pure evil. Most of the other villains either had a specific ax to grind with Oliver Queen, or were operating with some sort of specific higher motive in mind. That is not the case here! To quote many line from a certain Batman movie, this is a man interested mostly in preserving his own self-interests.

The new season of “Arrow” premieres on October 7, and one of the show’s largest mysteries is going to be how Oliver gets back to Starling City in an effort to battle this man. After all, doesn’t Damien have something to do with why he is back? For the time being, that is at least very much our guess.

Just in case that was not enough, remember that Malcolm Merlyn is still out there, and you also have some other new villains like Anarky potentially causing chaos. In the end, Oliver definitely has his work cut out for him on this new season.
