‘The Bachelorette’ finale: How Shawn Booth, Nick Viall proposed to Kaitlyn Bristowe
While we’ve got a longer article going about the finale of “The Bachelorette,” we only thought it was right to spend a minute or two focusing specifically on what is the moment (outside of the “After the Final Rose,” anyway) that most people will be discussing come tomorrow morning: The proposals. Sometimes, we only get one and the last little while is really predictable; however, this time there was some real drama there.
First things first, let us turn to the fact that this event was set at the Bachelor Mansion, which may be one of the least romantic places possible for this. Why in the world would you have it here? We really hope that this was not the original plan…
Without wasting too much more time here, let’s just go ahead and get to the big part of the episode we know that everyone cares about: The proposal and the big reveal of who Kaitlyn Bristowe wants to be with.
Nick Viall – Well, this is awkward. for the second straight season, Nick doesn’t get the final rose. This time it’s even worse, since Nick actually made it all the way to the very end only to be rejected. This was a smart move by production to do the final ceremony at night, since it wouldn’t be a dead giveaway that Nick lost in the way that it was for us. We knew the moment he got out of the limo. The guy almost got on one knee, but at least she didn’t clown him enough to make him do that. Nick may not be the most likable guy ever, but he didn’t need public humiliation.
Shawn Booth – Now, we get to a full proposal. It was romantic, dramatic, and basically every single thing you would want to see … though apparently he just guessed which ring was the right one.
