‘Masters of Sex’ season 3 spoilers: Judy Greer to work alongside Josh Charles

“Masters of Sex” is clearly killing it at the moment in the business of getting big-name guest stars to appear on their show. You likely already heard that you were going to see “The Good Wife” alum Josh Charles on the next episode as Dan Logan, a businessman in the perfume industry desperate to capture the scent of desire in a bottle. He’s someone who is going to be almost what you would expect from a man like him in this time period … and Showtime has confirmed that Judy Greer of “Married” fame (plus many other things) will be his wife.

Greer’s character is named Alice Logan, and she has a history with alcohol and has not been entirely happy in her marriage to him. She will join Dan alongside Masters (Michael Sheen) and Johnson (Virginia Johnson) for a dinner that will be far from cordial. Over the course of the night, relationships could be crushed and few will exit the same exact way as they entered.

Greer is joining a cast that is already very impressive, given that you’ve got so many other guest stars on the docket, with one of the most noteworthy of course being Sarah Silverman coming back after her stint last year.

We’re two episodes into this season, and we do think that there is promise. Sure, we are still having to adjust to Virginia’s two children being so much older this season; we knew there’d be a time jump, but it is still a little jarring.
