‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 8 preview: Callie, Rita take center stage in ‘Daughters’

“The Fosters” has a few more stories to tell this summer … but you are going to be waiting for at least a little while to see some of them. Thanks in part to an awkward hiatus that is happening next week on ABC Family, there is no new episode next week. Therefore, you will be waiting until at least August 3 to see “Daughters,” the next installment that will teach us a few more things about Rita’s past, and also how some of this could impact her relationship with Callie in some ways.

Maia Mitchell and Rosie O’Donnell could get some great material over the course of the hour, and if you want to see some base details in terms of what to expect, be sure to check out the synopsis below:

“When Rita’s (guest star Rosie O’Donnell) daughter shows up unexpectedly, Callie sees a different side of Rita and learns the reason behind their strained relationship. Stef discovers a new lead in the hit-and-run case. Brandon confronts his moms about the tensions in the house.”

Where is Callie going to end up next? Understandably, that is going to be one of the big questions that you have after watching this episode. It’s impossible not to at least wonder this, given that it appears that she is going to have to leave the care of Stef and Lena over a certain expunged incident with Brandon. This jeopardizes almost everything for her, and to think that there are only a few episodes left for her story to be told.
