‘Masters of Sex’ season 3, episode 3 preview: Josh Charles enters the picture

The next new episode of “Masters of Sex” is airing in a week’s time, and we are going to start to see more and more of what is happening as a result of Bill Masters and Virginia Johnson’s burgeoning fame. We have seen them become more and more of a success in the midst of the sexual revolution of the 1960s, and as a result of that, we are getting a chance to see a little bit more of what certain people are going to be doing in order to take advantage of that.

One of these said characters will be played by Josh Charles of “The Good Wife” fame, as he plays a perfume man who is looking to find the perfect scent for desire. Basically, he is well before his time when it comes to how people sell fragrances now; just take a look at any department store display and you will see men and women in various stages of undress.

Is it possible that this man becomes more than an associate for Virginia? We don’t want to read too much into a glimpse in the promo below, mostly because that could mean a variety of different things.

What we can at least say with some confidence, though, is that the marital tension with Bill and Libby is going to continue to rise as he starts to spend even more time with Virginia and with the public, and therefore less time with her.
