‘Mistresses’ season 3, episode 7 spoilers: What is Joss’ plan with Luca?

Next week’s new episode of “Mistresses” is an interesting one already, and it starts first and foremost with the notion of motive. Calista already has a major ax to grind with Luca, and we saw it with how she tried to thwart him and Eva at the end of Thursday night’s new episode.

So what does she decide to do from here? Based on what we’re seeing and hearing, next week’s episode may feature Joss doing a little bit of reconnaissance work in order to try and corrupt the situation from within. The attached photo for next week’s “The Best Laid Plans” features Joss alongside Luca, and there is clearly an inquisitive conversation happening here, if nothing else.

While this all sounds like a perfect amount of juicy fun for this show, there is still something very important that you have to remember here: The episode’s title, and the fact that not every plan ever orchestrated by these women works out all that well. The events that happen as a result of Joss and Calista’s plan could end up laying the groundwork for the rest of the season.

Creatively, though, we do have to say we’re rather enjoying all of this. While we do wish there would be no more of the Joss / Harry drama (she already decided not to marry Scott, so what else doe we really need to endure for this?), this is a story that has allowed us to get a great introduction to Calista in a short amount of time. Not only that, but this makes her really distinct.
