‘Family Guy’ spoilers: Kate McKinnon in as Peter’s sister
Somehow, there are still some surprises on “Family Guy” even after more than a decade on the air. This weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that Kate McKinnon is going to be guest-starring on at least one upcoming episode of the Fox comedy. Specifically, she is going to be Peter Griffin’s sister, and she has a rather unusual name and profession. What is it? Think along the lines of Heavy Flow, and she works as a professional wrestler.
As for who else is going to be guest-starring at some point this coming season, just think along the lines of Joe Buck, Ed O’Neill, Glenn Close, Kyle Chandler, and many more. Like “The Simpsons,” one of the great things that “Family Guy” really has going for it is that you can bring a pretty robust group of people on board the series for various stories. The show’s ratings are still strong, and this helps it to garner even more attention.
What is especially interesting at least to us about getting McKinnon on board is that she is also guest-starring on “The Simpsons” for its upcoming season. That is quite a feat for someone who is going to be busy on the upcoming “Ghostbusters” movie and of course “Saturday Night Live.”
The new season of “Family Guy” is going to premiere on Fox once again this fall, and will air in the same 9:00 p.m. Eastern timeslot as usual. We imagine that we are going to have many more updates before that time, so come back here throughout the coming weeks / months for more!
