‘Penny Dreadful’ season 2, episode 10 (finale) spoilers: In which we hope for Mr. Lyle (video)

We have to say that going into the “Penny Dreadful” finale Sunday night, we’re more than worried for Mr. Lyle. He’s not in the greatest position, and we also just have a bad pit in our stomach for the character. Sure, someone is probably going to die before the episode ends, but who says that it has to be him? We’re going to continue keeping our hopes up in any way that we can.

The sneak peek below is not really one that offers up too much in the way of new information or insight on the characters. Instead, this preview is more of a conversation between Mr. Lyle and Dr. Frankenstein, who where the former tries to do a good job showcasing his value.

We should also add in here that we are still worried for Victor, as well, if for no other reason than what we have seen of his creations already. They have a knack for being a tad unpredictable, and that does not exactly scream the best news possible for him.

There is one other mystery that is not necessarily address in this clip, but could be in the episode: Whether or not Sembene is actually dead. We wouldn’t be surprised if we saw this character surface in some different shape or form … and that is all we will say for now. (Just speculation, folks!) We will be back tomorrow not only with a review for the finale, but then also hopefully some more insight into what could be coming on season 3.
