‘Agent Carter’ season 2 spoilers: Series boss on potential new threats

For all fans of “Agent Carter,” you better prepare to wait a while longer to see the actual show premiere on Fox! At the moment, all we know is that the show is projecting a launch date in early 2016, and that Peggy is no longer going to be alone in making her move out to Los Angeles.

While that being said, don’t expect everyone to make the move, or for even all of the story hints to come to fruition. Even though there was a tease about the Winter Soldier program at the end of the ABC series’ first season, it doesn’t appear (at least in the early going) like the show is going in that direction early on during season 2. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Michelle Fazekas makes it clear that the series is still plotting to use a fairly well-known villain when it returns to TV:

“People who are fans of the Marvel comic book universe will recognize our villain and there’s more than one villain … We’re certainly taking inspiration from the comic book universe, so anybody who knows that will be rewarded.”

Now, of course the challenge when it comes to that will be making sure that this new character or characters, whoever they may be, are able to burst off of the page and become instantly memorable almost right away in the second season.
