‘Empire’ season 2 spoilers: The latest recurring role

Empire -There are many benefits at the moment to “Empire” starting production early, and one of the biggest ones is that it does allow for us to have an opportunity or two to learn some casting news before some other shows are on the same plane. That means that we can give it a little more attention, and spend some more time pondering over some of the finer details.

What we’ve got today in terms of the Terence Howard – Taraji P. Henson series is this. According to a report coming in now from Deadline, Tyra Ferrell of “White Men Can’t Jump” fame has been booked as a recurring player in season 2, and is going to be close to several members of the Lyon family. She’s working as a lawyer, and at this particular point in time it should be plain to see that there are quite a few members of this family in need of some legal council. For the most part, they are a complete mess and Lucious is in prison.

Season 2 is going to pick up months after the end of the first season, but Howard’s character will still be behind bars and bonding (if you can call it that) with one of the show’s big-name guest stars: Chris Rock, who is playing a somewhat-mysterious character. However, remember here that it is only a matter of time before Lucious finds himself back out into the world. The show is more exciting when the family can all interact more with one another.

New episodes of the series are going to start airing on Fox come Wednesday, September 23 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Want to get some other scoop? Then be sure to head over to the link here!
