How did ‘UnREAL’ episode 2 fare in the ratings for Lifetime?

UnREAL -We’ve been keeping close watch out for Lifetime’s “UnREAL” for a variety of different reasons, but the biggest one is mostly the simple matter that the show is really rather good. We really want to see the show succeed, and therefore we are watching out to see how well it fares in the numbers now that there has been another week to potentially buzz.

Well, what we have here is a case of good news and bad news. The good news, at least for now, is that the show’s 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic is on the level of what it drew for its premiere. According to TVbythenumbers, it also drew slightly over 700,000 viewers, which is a slight drop in that measure. For the most part, though, these numbers do at least signify that there is something about this show that viewers have latched onto, and if they could tell some of their friends now to watch, we’d be in better shape.

There is one other caveat to consider here as far as the ratings go: Lifetime has put the first four episodes of the show online now for viewing, which is not something that had been done prior to this particular episode. Therefore, it’s possible that some addicted to this show (we don’t blame you) burned through it early and are now a couple of episodes ahead. These are all things to watch out for in the weeks ahead.

While we know that the ratings are far from fantastic, we do hope if nothing else that we get to see the story through, and that Lifetime realizes that for quality purposes alone, they should look at another batch of episodes.
