‘Outlander’ season 2 spoilers: Even more new characters confirmed!
We’ve mentioned a few times now that there is going to be a parade of new “Outlander” cast members to go along with the show’s move to France (onscreen; offscreen, it still films in Scotland), and more and more the proof is in the metaphorical pudding.
According to Entertainment Weekly, we have a variety of new performers who are going to be joining Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan on the series (currently filming), which will be returning to Starz at some point in 2016. Note that these names are in addition to the ones that we’ve already mentioned earlier today.
Rosie Day – Day is going to play Mary Hawkins, a woman who is engaged to a member of the French nobility, and also is the daughter of a minor baronet. She has a nervous manner of speaking, and is going to find herself in some increasingly difficult positions over the course of the season. She has a number of UK credits to her name, but may not be that familiar to American viewers.
Andrew Gower – Ready for some more French nobility? Gower, who has been on “Being Human” and “A.D. The Bible Continues,” will play the part of Prince Charles Edward Stewart. He is a man hoping to return to the throne as a young heir to a prominent Catholic royal family.
Romann Berrux – The French actor, virtually unknown to U.S. audiences, will be playing a character named Fergus who develops a bond with Jamie and Claire.
