‘Britain’s Got Talent’ results: Did Jules O’Dwyer & Matisse, Revelation Avenue, Old Man Grooving advance?
Going into tonight’s “Britain’s Got Talent” results, there was an actual sense of ambiguity for a variety of different reasons … with one of the biggest ones simply being the mere fact that there were so many different ways that the public could go. They could choose to reward many dance acts, some singers, a magician, or even a dog act depending on what they desired.
The show announced tonight yet again all of the acts in order, and the biggest disappointment to us was learning that magician Michael Late was in 7th place for what we thought was a pretty fun performance. The second-biggest surprise? That Jules O’Dwyer & Matisse won the entire night! We love dog acts, but we didn’t expect an act who performed second on the night to make it to the final based on the public vote alone.
The acts in second and third place were Revelation Avenue and Old Man Grooving, and the moment that Simon Cowell decided to send it to deadlock, we knew that something crazy was going to happen. Ultimately, it did when Revelation Avenue was sent home, despite being Amanda Holden’s Golden Buzzer act and in our mind a favorite to win it all.
What happened? We feel like Old Men Grooving was the beneficiary of performing last on the night, whereas Revelation Avenue performed in the middle. Did like the dancing guys, but we wouldn’t have struggled much with this decision. At least there is still a potential wild-card spot out there … right?
