‘Britain’s Got Talent’ preview: Bonetics wants you to rethink dance
Can you combine contortion into a dance act? This is something that Bonetics is working already on doing, and the sneak peek below from this weekend’s “Britain’s Got Talent” episode is yet another sign of what he can do. No doubt, the guy is very talented. He is not the first contortionist dancer we have ever seen; they are pretty common in some places, and there are quite a few things that they can do that are incredibly impressive.
Bonetics for the time being we would classify as the middle of the pack. The biggest thing with an act like this is that you want to make sure that the focus isn’t just on your gift. If it is, you really only have one good routine in you, since at that point everyone knows what you can do. From here, the challenge is going to be more or less a matter of being able to come up with some other fun, interesting challenges that will allow him to continue to push himself, try new things, and work to stand out from the crowd.
Ultimately, he needs to find a way if he makes it further to make his dance even more musical, and use some of his amazing movements in order to tell a story. If he does that, he could make it further than you would think based on one audition alone.
This is already proving to be a huge season in regards to dance, given that we have seen a wide array of dance-themed performers take the stage. None of them, however, have been like this. There are so few people who can really do this that you are left with typically just one a season.
