‘Britain’s Got Talent’ preview: Entity Allstars feature Lauren Platt’s brother
There have been an awful lot of dance crews taking to the stage on “Britain’s Got Talent” this season. So what makes Entity Allstars different? The biggest thing on the surface is simply a matter of one of the people actually in the group in Lauren Platt’s brother. We previously saw him back when she was a contestant on “The X Factor” this past season, and he had a chance to dance during one of her performances.
Now, we do have to judge his entire group as a whole. While they are in fact very good at what they do, our concern is the same that we have almost anytime that we have a talented group of young people on the show: What makes them stand out? As each season passes, we feel like it becomes harder and harder for dance crews to get attention, given that so few of them are ever heard of after the show.
Ultimately, there is zero doubt that this is a group that makes it through to the next round, and there is zero doubt in our mind that they deserve it. Who are we to deny this group their ability? We’re just more worried about their long-term staying power, especially given that we have seen so many other dance crews out their strutting their stuff this season. For the record, Boyband is probably still our favorite, and not just because they got the golden buzzer from hosts Ant and Dec.
We’ll be back later with a full review of this “Britain’s Got Talent” episode. Stay tuned!
