‘American Idol XIV’: Rayvon Owen reacts to elimination, looks ahead to future

American Idol -We have made it all the way now to the top three on “American Idol XIV,” but in order to get there, this means losing people like Rayvon Owen along the way, who had quite the impressive run over the past several weeks or so.

The great thing about Rayvon’s journey here is that he did probably have an opportunity for all sorts of added perspective on his journey, given that he spent week after week narrowly avoiding elimination. We have so much more respect for him as a result of that, since someone in his position could have very easily decided that they really did not want to go through the effort of trying to continually impress the voting public.

So as for where Rayvon goes from here, our simple guess is that he will take some time to work more on original music, and then of course prepare for the massive summer tour that lies in wait over the course of the next several months. He is really not going to get much of a break from the show itself, since he will probably be coming back for the live finale soon, and will be able to cheer on the other contestants from the sidelines.

We don’t really think that there are lessons to be learned for every elimination on the show, but for Rayvon his lesson appears to us to be pretty clear: No matter where you think you are placing in the competition, don’t give up. There is still time to change things up.
