‘Home Fires’ season 2 preview: What lies ahead for Samantha Bond, cast?
Tonight, ITV launched their latest attempt to have a new drama series, much in the way that they did last year with the short-lived “The Crimson Field.” This series is entitled “Home Fires,” and if you watched tonight, what you had was an interesting window in a Cheshire village around the time of World War 2. There are a variety of great stories that can be uncovered in such a region and a time, mostly because they are feeling the impacts of war in a way that we do not always think about. War does still hit them and impact them in an emotionally way, but the bloodshed is not directly prevalent.
If you want to see some other news in terms of what to expect from what lies ahead, check out the official synopsis below:
“The isolated community could not feel further away from the impending bloodshed and battlefields, yet it is not immune from the effects of war. Frances must learn diplomacy if she is to oust Joyce, while Miriam has one last chance to stop David enlisting and Teresa gets off to a bad start in the village.”
There will be a few surprises that probably take place throughout this episode, but this is a show that does seem to be echoing “Downton Abbey” in many ways. While there were difficult elements to the first episode, it does not feel as though Samantha Bond and the cast are going to be continuously mired in difficult situations.
