‘The Good Wife’ season 6 spoilers: Are Cary and Kalinda really done?

Cary -On this past episode of “The Good Wife,” we were presented with a moment that was certainly rather hard to digest. How else are you going to describe saying farewell to a longtime character like Kalinda? While we know that she will be making an appearance in the finale, there are still questions surrounding the how and why of it all.

What we do know is that her time with her colleague-turned-lover in Cary Agos is over, at least for the season. Star Matt Czuchry confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter recently that he has filmed his last scene with Archie Panjabi, whose character left to diffuse the Bishop situation. Given the feelings that Cary had for her, this is going to be a difficult move for him to swallow. Not only that, but it will linger within him for quite a long time moving forward:

“The last two episodes, there are just small moments you’ll see of him trying to process. You go through all those stages and the first one is denial so he’s trying to process that she has gone forever and that she is out of his life. He’s not even at the point of acceptance by the end of this season, that’s for sure. His brain and his heart can’t figure out what happened and he’s trying to make sense of it and can’t.”

The one thing that we feel right now is the utmost sympathy for the Cary character. We can only hope that when everything settles after all of this, he is going to be able to actually move forward and be happy with someone. After being almost-arrested this season and countless other complications, he is a guy who deserves some semblance of happiness.
