‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 21 preview: ‘There’s My Girl,’ and dealing with death

Chicago PD -Tonight’s “Chicago PD” brought to the table the loss of a popular character, and there is no getting around the fact that this loss is going to be a pretty difficult one for these characters to deal with.

However, the show must go on, and go it will moving into the next new episode entitled “There’s My Girl.” The challenge here is trying to balance remembering Nadia and also trying to push the story forward at the same time. The synopsis below should at least give you a pretty reasonable idea of just what to expect in this key installment:

“As District 21 is struggling to come to terms with the loss of one of the team they are forced to put their personal feelings aside when a café is bombed. The unit has several suspects and only one good eye-witness, who happens to be a minor. Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) pulls some strings to convince the mom to let him question Isabella (guest star Haley Seda) on what she saw. Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) finds himself in hot water when he makes a crucial mistake. Thanks to the tech savvy Mouse (guest star Samuel Hunt) the team is able to gain important intel that could help solve the case. Meanwhile Voight (Jason Beghe) helps Platt (Amy Morton) when she comes up against several roadblocks in an attempt to get a memorial stone for their fallen member.”

The only thing that you can really hope for in an episode like this is that nobody suffers for too long, and that in time, everyone does have an opportunity to move forward. Time will tell, but we are optimistic about the long-term probably a little more so than we are the short.
