‘Agents of SHIELD’: Could ‘Revenge’ cancellation lead to Emily VanCamp appearances?
While we are sad to see “Revenge” be officially canceled as of today, there are obviously some other questions that come along with a move like this. For example, one of the biggest ones revolves around Emily VanCamp and her larger role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
During “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” VanCamp played the character of Agent 13 a.k.a. Sharon Carter, and given that she is still alive, has ties to SHIELD, and is a part of this world, isn’t there a chance to have her aboard “Agents of SHIELD” in the future? It is probably all tied to what the show and what the actress herself wants to do, but we are not ruling it out. She hosted a Marvel special for ABC during the fall, which means that her ties to the comic company are still extremely strong.
Also, there is one other possible component to all of this: The fact that there is a new spin-off series quietly being developed over at ABC featuring Adrianne Palicki (Bobbi Morse) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) means that there could be openings both on this show and also the original for her to at least do an lengthy arc, even if she does not want to join as a regular to keep some of her commitments open. Many fans would probably like to see this, given that the character is for the most part very well-liked and brings great history with Cap to the show.
Ultimately, we’ll have to wait until the ABC upfronts in May, if not longer, to learn any more on that subject.

If not a cast member would love to see her on the show.

I actually thought that too as soon as I heard that Revenge was ending. Im still not convinced that the new Bobbi/Hunter show will fire.

Mainly because whilst I think the Ratings for AOS are slowly picking up, they arnt at the level they would need to be at to make sense to spin off a show. Agent Carter didnt set the world on fire for ratings and whilst the Arrow and Flash draw some decent ratings even those too licenses do not really provide the base for another show there either .
