‘The Following’ season 3, episode 10 preview: Joe Carroll’s execution day
To say that next week’s new episode of “The Following” is one that you need to watch live is an understatement. In some ways, “Evermore” is the installment of the show you have been waiting for ever since it was first learned that Joe Carroll was on death row. This is a man who has done so many terrible things, but at the same time, there is no guarantee that something terrible will happen to him. Karma does not always come around the way you think it will.
If there is something that you really should remember at this point about Joe, it is that he is a man who always has an escape plan. Therefore, you have to think that he will have figured out a way to survive his own execution … and maybe turn it into a day where he executes others instead. The promo below suggests that somehow, he is going to find a way yet again to outsmart the hapless authorities and stage a potentially deadly situation. His demand is simple: He wants Ryan Hardy.
For a few more details, take a look at the synopsis below:
“With Joe Carroll’s execution day upon them, the team remains on edge, expecting that he won’t go easily. Ryan’s presence is demanded at the scene when a hostage situation ensues, as the world stands by watching the heavy news coverage of the day’s events.”
The media portion of this is in some ways the most fascinating to us. It is ultimately a reminder of just how much Ryan is under a microscope, and also how many people care about the Joe Carroll case. That adds another layer of stakes to the proceedings.
