‘Silicon Valley’ season 2, episode 2 preview: Dinish’s definition of cool
Well, it appears that we have now found the one country on earth where it is apparently cool to be a nerd: Pakistan … or quite possibly Dinesh on “Silicon Valley’s” mind. Whatever gets him through the day.
In the sneak peek below, we learn a thing or two about the character’s cousin, who was apparently quite the rebel back in his home country while Dinesh did more of the respectable things, and obviously trained himself to eventually become skilled enough to work for Pied Piper. Now, he is apparently using some of his money to fund an app entitled Bro, which is about as obnoxious as you would think. To be honest, we had not even heard of the app that it was based on; as much as we love computers, we really did not get very much into the whole billions-of-apps craze until recently.
This preview does not tell you much of anything about the story for Sunday’s episode, not that we really mind that much. We have professed to be enormous Kumail Nanjiani fans many times over, so anytime that we can get a scene focusing on his character is a time when we are going to listen to an Indoor Kids podcast in celebration. Of course, we were probably going to do that anyway.
At some point during this episode, we assume that the story will probably pick up somewhere around when the last one left off, where Richard got a suit from Hooli claiming that he stole Pied Piper technology … proving further that Gavin is a terrible, terrible man.
