Jon Stewart introduces us (already) to election season with Hillary Clinton – Marco Rubio segment (video)

The Daily Show with Jon StewartRemember the days when less was more when it comes to politics? Well, we are in an era now where spending is completely out of control, and the same thing can be said for the way in which the media covers it. Basically, this includes putting a microscope under every little thing humanly possible, including such tiny things as what candidates for President have for lunch.

The video below comes from “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” which is preparing us already for the absurdity of campaign season starting a good eighteen-plus months before the next actual election in November 2016. This features a segment about Hillary Clinton actually going in and purchasing a burrito bull at a Chipotle. The fact that we know it is a burrito bowl is somewhat absurd, as is the fact that there is really enough to take away from this for it to be discussed on cable news networks that were clearly bored out of their mind.

Of course, as Stewart notes, these networks did have something else to talk about: Marco Rubio announcing that he is running for President, as well.

We’re never going to get political in any of these articles, and we feel like there is one thing that both Republicans and Democrats are probably going to agree on over the next year and half: We are going to be really burnt out on this by the time it is over.
