‘Suits’ season 5 spoilers: Gabriel Macht’s Harvey finds himself a therapy

After the events of “Suits” season 4, it felt pretty clear that Harvey Specter was going to need to find himself someone else to talk to. While Donna may care about him, she expressed her feelings for him in a way that he could not. Ultimately, she decided to go to a place where she felt ultimately valued, which is why she chose to work for Louis Litt.

So now, Gabriel Macht’s character is getting a therapist! Actress Christina Cole has been hired to recur throughout season 5 as Dr. Paula Abard, an extremely successful psychiatrist specializing in corporate consulting for the wealthy. Per TVLine, she ends up working quite a bit with the character. Our assumption had always been that she would be someone who he could talk through issues with related to his past; however, it is not entirely clear if that is the case. He certainly could use that sort of friend, though.

USA has already revealed an official logline from the show. Most of this you already would assume:

“In the premiere, Pearson Specter Litt has scored a hard-fought victory, but the fight has left the firm shaken. Although she avoided jail time, Donna has left Harvey after more than a decade of working together. She is now working for his long-time rival Louis. And while Jessica readjusts to being single, Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel are giddy after his marriage proposal.”

We like that there are new dynamics for every one of our major characters entering the new season, and while some of them are in a good spot for now (see Mike and Rachel), you have to think that trouble will come their way soon enough.
