ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: Nathan Fillion, Molly Quinn’s story during ‘In Plane Sight’
What is this? A “Castle” episode with a big Alexis story? We have not had a whole lot of these as of late, but as we get near the end of the season we’re going to have one courtesy of “In Plane Sight.” Our first impression when hearing the title for the April 27 episode (the 21st is the season) is “we hope you like puns.” Also, “In Plain Sight” (the typical expression) was a series on USA, and it is actually a common title for many crime shows. Cheers to “Castle” for mixing it up ever so slightly!
As for the story of this episode itself, it does feel in many ways to come right out of the Crime TV Episode Playbook: A story that features a murder on a plane, and it therefore in many ways feels like a bottle episode since so much of it is confined to a single location. The main difference here is that Nathan Fillion and Molly Quinn are not going to be sharing screen time with Stana Katic during their investigation. Instead, she will be trying her best to help them from a remote location. In other words, the two people responsible for catching a killer directly here are not exactly qualified to be doing so.
Take a look at the synopsis below:
“As Castle and Alexis travel to London, their routine flight turns deadly when the plane’s Air Marshal is found murdered. With the help of Beckett on the ground, Castle and Alexis race against time to find the killer before he carries out his fateful plan.”
This episode is one of two isolated stories coming up near the end of the season. We also know that there is a sketch show-themed episode coming up that features an appearance from Jaleel White and also a performance from Carly Rae Jepsen, because that’s what “Castle” needs to help boost it’s ratings… more singing.
