‘Silicon Valley’ season 2, episode 1 preview: Now with the Winklevoss twins
You know that you have a successful series about the tech industry when the Winklevoss Twins show up. While we do not necessarily know just yet what these two brothers, made famous through the story of Facebook primarily (plus “The Social Network”), are going to be doing during the premiere of “Silicon Valley,” we do at least know that they appear in the premiere.
The scene below focuses mostly on Erlich (Thomas Middleditch) and Erlich (T.J. Miller) doing almost everything that they can in order to get the brothers’ attention … well, we should actually say that it is mostly Erlich who is going after them. They are present in some sort of empty stadium at the time, and since this preview is only around 23 seconds long, we don’t really get to see anything else. This feels like a sneak peek created for the sole purpose of trying to hype up the guest stars. There’s really nothing else in here when it comes to meat.
Nonetheless, you really should check this show out if you are interested in getting quite possibly the most honest portrayal of this industry, with a touch of satire at the same time, that you are going to get on almost any network. We know that there are some out there who really put their all into hyper-analyzing every little part of it, and we get that. However, we do also feel at the same time that you can go a little overboard in doing so to the point where you forget that this is supposed to just be a fun, zany comedy. It really is okay to just enjoy the show and laugh along with it. There’s nothing that will happen as a consequence.
